Use BSD license

Having heard no questions or complaints, here's a formal vote thread.

I propose we change Axion's license to that shown below, which happens
to be the template at http://www.opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php
where
 
 <OWNER> = <ORGANIZATION> = Axion Development Team

and

 <YEAR> = 2002-2006

Committer's votes are binding, but as always we welcome anyone's
opinion.

Committers, please vote +1 or -1, per the guidelines at
http://axion.tigris.org/guidelines.html.

We'll close the voting in one week (13-Dec-2005)

BTW, IS there any other developer reading mail in this thread?

 

I have been lately playing with Axion code base to improve performance based on http://www.polepos.org/ test result. I did have some success, but seems like delete is still slow for both array as well as btree index.

 

I will tag and check-in my changes soon. If you anyone interested to see before I checkin I can send a patch. After this checking the inserts and specifically the prepare statements will be real fast.
