Pentecostal Foundation Unit 7 Discussion Forum
Personal Reflection on the Seminary’s Mission and Vision Statements:
The Seminary’s mission is to prepare individuals within the faith community for Christian ministry, in a context which addresses professional competence as well as Christian formation. The seminary also seeks to be committed to the Church of God Pentecostal heritage, the global mission of the church and a position of interdependence with the church community.
My goal is to be better equipped to continue serving in the pastoral ministry, and also to develop a more formational approach to leadership. The mission of the seminary is geared toward addressing concerns similar to mine. Its emphasis on professional competence and Christian formation will help me to grow and develop as a Christian and be better prepared for ministry. I look forward to benefit from the experience.
I find the seminary’s curriculum to be very comprehensive, and truly reflective of the Pentecostal position. The degree programs that are offered seem to address the needs that exist within the church, and the main areas of the ministry of the church. Its emphases ensure relevance and a healthy balance between professional competence and Christian maturity.
