Unit 11 Discussion

      This course has definitely affirmed my goals for a theological education.  It has made me realize that a theological education at the COGTS is much more that just a learning experience.  It is that, of course, because it is definitely an institution of higher learning, with a faculty of the highest quality.  But I see the seminary journey as addressing virtually every aspect of individual growth and maturity that is needed for the seminarian to be equipped for service to the Lord.  It is a deeply spiritual journey, and one in which we can gain a better understanding of ourselves--not only our gifts and preferences, but also our faults, hang-ups, and other excess baggage that we should overcome in order to become whole and mature individuals who can use our acquired education in ministry.
