Unable to fetchmail problem SSL enabling

Hi,

I tried to connect to pop.gmail.com using openssl

$ openssl s_client -connect pop.gmail.com:995 \
 -CApath /usr/share/ssl/certs -quiet

what is the meaning of unable to get local issuer certificate?
do i need create any other certificates?
