Hi,
Before doing that, make sure the Backup is unplugged otherwise you would
have duplicate IPs on your network...
I guess we are talking about an Active/Passive configuration and not an
Active/Active one.
"unset nsrp cluster id 1" on the Master is enough for your purpose.
All 3 others are not necessary although you can type them as well (after
the first one, of course).
IMHO, you do not need to connect via serial. HTTPS or SSH will be
enough. I agree console connection is the best way as you can keep
connected to the box in case of problem.

Hello,
We own 2 x NS50 + 5.3.0r6
We wouldlike to deactivate properly the NSRP because we do not need
redundancy anymore, and we need one of the NS50 on other place.
I plan to:
- connect via serial on the master
- type on that order
unset nsrp cluster id 1
unset nsrp rto-mirror sync
unset nsrp vsd-group id 0 priority 100
unset nsrp monitor interface ethernet3 weight 100
Is this the correct way to deactivate NSRP ?
Any advice is welcome,
Thanks,
Gregory
