Trouble with installation of 4.0.9

I am having problems getting the install for Farcry 4.0.9 to work. I
am installing on a platform using the following: Farcry 4.0.9,
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Oracle 10.2 and Coldfusion 7.02. Here
is the error I am getting… any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is your problem but.. don't use the ODBC/JDBC bridge
for running Oracle.  You need a proper JDBC driver.  It may be that
this is causing you grief with the installer.

The other thing is you might try the release candidate for Fortress,
the FarCry 5.0 release:
http://docs.farcrycms.org/display/FCDEV50/Fortress+Installation

You have more installation options, and overall its a much better
platform.

Thank you Geoff. I've decided to go with FarCry 5.0 as well as
configuring my database in Coldfusion to not go through an ODBC
driver. The Coldfusion administrator validates the database however,
while installing FarCry 5.0 I received this message on Step 2
(Database Configuration): "Not A Oracle Database". I created an empty
schema named CMS and supplied this name for the Database Owner value.

Any ideas on this?
