Just wanted to get the word out on a training race coming up in May. The following is the information of how things will shake out. This will be a awesome training race and chance to get in some "race pace traing"... Lance

Hello gents,
You are invited to participate in a local training event. This will be an informal completely non sanctioned, non insured, ride at your our risk event. We are planning on having burgers afterwards and maybe a few prizes to boot. There will not be a charge for the event, but we do ask you to please chip in if you plan on staying for burgers. $5.00 a head should cover the meal. You can also show your appreciation to the promoters (Ruben and I) by bringing them a cold beverage. Belgium beer and maybe a Porter for Ruben would be great, Nascar beers will not be tolerated!

When: Saturday May 17th Start Time: 9:30 am
Where: Forsan High / Jr. School. East side of building.
Route: Out and back on FM821 through some beautiful rolling terrain. Distance will be about 45 miles     or so.

After ride feed will be located 1/2 block away from the school.

Other stuff:
VT Bike guys, PBBA and Chap guys -  please pass this along to any of your teammates you would like to attend (Cat 4/5). I don't have everyone's email info. It would be great if we could get 15 or so riders.
No recumbents
Helmets required

Bring a fig and some goo and plan on breathing hard!

Life is way too short to drink nascar beer... or folgers coffee!

Sounds like a great time... we'll see if we can make it!

I will definitly be there, unless the boss says otherwise. That is one of the best rides around BigSpring.

Just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that this will be a fast race pace and truly a drop ride. I did one in Lubbock and it was as tough as any race that I have done. It will be a good chance to measure ourselfs though!

Usually Ruben and his crew do ride pretty hard so I am looking foreward to it I just hope I can keep up...and maybe I can man the sag vehicle.

Not to worry Kye, it will be no different than our Tue/Thur night rides, just a little longer!!!

Do I need to mention the TTT starting order from a couple of weeks ago????

All I was trying to do is make sure that everyone knew that this training race is going to be a "gut busting mother loving navy war"... This quote was from an old Kurt Douglas movie. Your still number one on my list Kye! it was so nice of you to put me and David behind Scott and Gaylon in the TTT. It gave us a chance to visit with them on the course...LOL...

Piano recital is one way to get out of getting dropped.
