Totals

I made a request on bugzilla ,but it hasn't gotten any attention, so I'll restate my petition here. 

Is there any interest in a SUM function?  It seems like there are several people who need to include totals functionality in #ask queries, based off of email requests.  I know SMW is not Excel or any other spreadsheet, but isn't this the most popular math request?  I know other functions might be desired, but this one seems to have the largest scope of usefulness.  Does the community agree?

I certainly agree. Right now, about the only functionality I see in
queries is comparison and sortation. Why shouldn't we have summation?
While we're at it, I would like to see some elementary statistical
functions, specifically:

* Average (Arithmetic mean)
* Median
* Mode
* Range
* Standard deviation

The above might perhaps require an additional extension. Here's another
idea for an extension: a "query" that plots a graph.
