Hi Everyone,

I just got a Toshiba R500 Protege and installed Lenny (beta 2 of
installer). Most things are working great, with just a few outstanding
issues. See [1] for more details.

* The headphone socket doesn't mute the internal speaker

* s2ram fails, hibernation works fine...

Essentially everytime I try s2ram (with various parameters) the suspend
itself seems to fail, the machine spontaneously restarts.

Has anyone else dealt with these issues on this machine?

Thanks,

CT.

did you try using s2ram through the hibernate package in debian? It's doing
some preparations in the background before actually sending the machine to
sleep. It helped me in the past with some machines which weren't
hibernating / supsending to ram properly.

There's various tweaks you can do with the hibernate scripts.

good luck,

Tom

hibernate is installed.

That's a good place to start, thanks!
