Titled panels within forms

There is a screen shot of a very nice looking form at:

https://abeille.dev.java.net/forms/mail_dev.png and
https://abeille.dev.java.net/forms/mail.png

the form has two embedded forms with attractive titled panels. I
believe these panels come from JGoodies forms. How do I create
panels like these in Abeille?

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

Glad to hear you're using Abeille.  The latest version 2.1 - Milestone 1 release is out on the project site if you haven't already checked it out.

Now to answer your question.  I believe the image you're looking at is actually not the JGoodies panels.  What you're actually seeing is a neat little "trick" whereby it is a combination of using a standard JLabel with a gradient background.  The icon is just the standard usage of an icon within a JLabel.

If you download Abeille you can actually see this firsthand in the examples folder.  You should find this exact screen within either a .jfrm or .xml file.  Just take a look at it and you'll understand exactly how to do the same technique in your own application.

Any more questions do not hesitate to email me back.

~Todd

Ok -- I got the idea now, thanks. I thought there was some
custom control. Perhaps there should be -- it would be a lot
easier. Perhaps I will code than when I've got a better of
what's going on.

Thanks for your help, and thanks for a very neat UI designer.
