The STAR Challenge 2008 @ Fusionopolis
Fusionopolis, Singapore's latest scientific R&D Powerhouse, is proud
to present The Star Challenge, an inaugural global competition to
power the next generation search engine. Contesting teams will be
developing algorithms/applications in creating the next generation
search engine capable of media-rich content search; pitting themselves
against some of the best researchers and engineers in the field.
Through a series of exciting elimination rounds, the final 5 teams
left standing will be flown to Fusionopolis in October 2008 for the
ultimate showdown. Pitting their skills and minds against the best,
the teams will have to outwit and outlast the competition to walk away
with US$100,000 in prize money.
