The Pouilly TunnelDoes anyone have an accurate drawing of this tunnel? From the dimensions shown in "Through the French Waterways", my vessel is borderline to say the least. My max air draft is 3.3, the central wheelhouse is 3.1 wide and 3.1-ish above the water at the sides. Will it fit? I suspect it may be too tight to risk it, but any further information appreciated. Although someone told me the lock keepers could lower the water level by .5 m, I'm sure this doesn't apply to this long tunnel, particularly as it's part of the summit level.
I presume there are suitable turning places each side of the tunnel so those who chicken out can turn round. My length is 20 m. Thanks Peter |

Re: The Pouilly TunnelWe did this last year and got through ok. We had a couple of minor scrapes.
We are 3.2 in the centre and 3 at about 3.5 wide. Plenty of room if you chicken out to turn. There is a hight bar as you enter.we thought we might not make it but the trip the otherside is worth the effort. -----Original Message----- From: dbacruising-bounces@...
