Thank you for your kind thoughts in my supportDear Mike (and Ray, and Larry H.),
Thanks for your replies to Ana - they were polite, yet sent a her a message which I appreciate. In fact I have been living in my van again - since last June. The reason this time is because I'm working like mad on a totally new kind of software - and so I'm not working at other job and I have to keep my expenses to a minimum while working on it (that's the problem with being an independent software developer - I don't get paid while working on the software, only after it is released, so I have to prepare for a year without income besides MusEdit orders, which is about 15/month these days). The new software is a journal writing program called P.Bio. This time it's not a totally solo project - I have a great, enthusiastic friend who's working on it with me. We had hoped to be done by now, but it looks like it will still take another 2-3 months. It is going to be fantastic, and I'll be letting the entire MusEdit community have a copy to try out (ie. be beta-testers!) before the big release. I expect to release this early version in about 3-4 weeks. I've been feeling bad about not being able to pay as much attention to MusEdit as I'd like this past year (eg. this is the longest time MusEdit has ever gone without an update) but I plan to reward the patience of the MusEdit community later this summer or fall with a super-duper free upgrade to MusEdit (finally cracking the 4.0 version barrier). My hope is that P.Bio will be much more successful than MusEdit ever was, and with the income from that not only will I be able to live in a real apartment again, but I fully expect to be able to hire some energetic programmers to help me with MusEdit so we can implement some key features I've always wanted to see in MusEdit - such as supporting scanning, having better fretboard diagrams, fixing Midi import, and all sorts of other things I've wanted MusEdit to have for ages. It will be great! (To anyone thinking about purchasing MusEdit, if you buy it now you will be able to get the free upgrade when it is released - as always). - Doug Yahoo! Re: Thank you for your kind thoughts in my supportDoug,
No need to respond to this one, but I'm a new user as of last month. I'm learning the program and I'm very excited about it. I truly hope you're blessed through the efforts your currently putting forth... and that your hopes come fruition. Clint ------------------------ Yahoo!
