Does anyone know where the remote temperature sensor on the 5501 is
located?

What are sane values for these sensors?  Here is what I get (running
OpenBSD 4.3).  I'm assuming the 127.00 is an unconnected sensor.

hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp0=114.00 degC (Remote)
hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp1=127.00 degC (Remote)
hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp2=66.00 degC (Local)

Thanks for any help....

Will

Good question.  The answer should be added to the Wiki.

Your assumption is reasonable

Those values look sane, not too different from mine:

$ sysctl -a |grep hw.sensors.nsclpcsio..temp
hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp0=101.00 degC (Remote)
hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp1=127.00 degC (Remote)
hw.sensors.nsclpcsio0.temp2=61.00 degC (Local)
$ exit
