Teleconverters

I have a Nikon D300 .. though I have a number of Nikkor lenses, my "walk-around" lens is the 18-200mm zoom.  I would like, on occasion, to be able to use a teleconverter, which would retain full-function ... any suggestions?  Yes, I would rather it be a Nikon.  Thank yoru for your help.
