The Sourcefire Technical Support group is looking for highly motivated, adaptive and flexible individuals who will be responsible for processing telephone and email requests from customers and interfacing with the development team to resolve complex customer issues.

Responsibilities in this capacity include:

• Troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking problems.
• Edit and approve documentation submitted to a customer knowledge base.
• Prioritize incoming support requests and manage resources as appropriate.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Monitor support incidents for quality and data integrity.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Core Competencies:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proven Experience in solving complex software problems
• Strong people skills, ability to work effectively with customers and other Sourcefire teams
• Strong technical and analytic skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Advanced problem solving skills, ability to develop effective long-term solutions to complex problems
• Ability to learn new skills and apply them quickly.
• Motivated team player with excellent communication skill and a positive attitude

Qualifications:

• Familiar with Linux/Unix command line tools/environment.
• Intermediate system administration skills in a Unix and windows environment
• Experience in network protocol & packet analysis
• Experience with Snort or other intrusion detection system
• 4-7 years experience in technical support and/or network/security adminstration

Desirable:

• Experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor
• Experience with MySql or other SQL database
• Familiar with perl and/or bash shell script
• Experience with Active Directory or other LDAP server
• Familiar with ClamAV anti-malware
