Table...Join(merge) leaves long textstring fields blank

Hi
I use digDB 7.1.3.3 Table Join frequently with Excel2002 SP3 and have noticed something odd.
Some of the columns in my tables to be joined have long textstring entries.  The table join
does not seem to carry the textstrings through to the output table if the strings are
longer than about 600 characters.  The output table merely has an empty cell where the original
long string was.  The behavior is not perfectly repeatable except that short strings of < 512 characters
always work OK; very long strings like 2000 characters never work, and 500-700 character ones are
iffy.   The column headers are all short strings; no issue there.

Is there maybe something IN the content of the long textstring field that might trip up the DigDB join, resulting in a blank field in the joined table?  Special character it doesn't like?  Excel copy/paste seems
to work OK regardless of the string length.   Is this a DigDB problem?
I can provide example files of needed.

thanks
Jon, yep, someone out there is dumb enough to use Excel for things with 2000 character string fields (not me.  Really)

Thanks for reporting this. Could you please send me a small sample of your data (with a few cells of the long text), and I will take a look and get back to you. You can send the sample data to digdb.support@gmail.com

Hello
The attached excel file has three tabs:  example 1 has two tables with one really long textstring entry; the join tables command works properly on this.
Example 2 contains two tables with some of the actual data I'm trying to join, with the result of my join on the third tab.  You can see the fields in the columns I named "longstring" disappear.
Thanks for checking.
Jon
