Sun Blade 1000 for saleHi All,
I have an extra Sun Blade 1000, dual UltraSparc III, 4gb RAM, 2 x 73gb SCSI, sun keyboard and mouse and an older 15 CRT monitor. I am located in San Jose, CA. I am open to offers, looking for around $200.00. Let me know. -Jason |

Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleHi All,
I have had a lot of offers for this machine, none totally confirmed. A few have wanted it shipped to NY or North Carolina. It is a big heavy machine, I am sure it would cost *a lot* Like $100 or something. If you want to pay the shipping plus insurance and a box to backage it in, I am happy to nail down a better estimate. -Jason On Sep 25, 2008, at 5:39 PM, J. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleSince this person keeps trying to post for-sale adds to our mailing list,
I would like to ask all of the user community to send him private insults, for every time he does so. Above all, do not buy from him. He is misusing this mailing list, which is here for other purposes. > I have an extra Sun Blade 1000, dual UltraSparc III, 4gb RAM, 2 x 73gb > SCSI, sun keyboard and mouse and an older 15 CRT monitor. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleWow, ask them to clog my inbox, how nice and a true solution.
So you are promoting the sending of SPAM. Good thing these kids of things are archived so people can see how you treat people that try and do good things for a small community. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleSo OpenBSD supports the sending of SPAM by its users to people?
Nice. Maybe Spamhaus and the other organizations need to be aware of this. As I e-mailed you privately about I will prepare an article for OSNews and Slashdot with the full thread of the private insulting e-mails you sent me for all to view. And in my last post, take your 10 year old legacy fame and your big mouth and stop pissing people off. Maybe then you wont have your funding withdrawn and get asked to leave community projects because you cannot get along with people. A simple e-mail saying "hey dont do this" would have sufficed. The behavior would not have been repeated. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleI never reply to these...but what the hell, I think you need some guidance.
First, if you knew Theo, you wouldn't be bitching. I don't even know him personally but know how passionate he is and that he tends to cut through the bullshit and get right to the point. I personally don't see a problem with that at all. If you do...well then you should take it up with that person personally not spouting crap on a list for everyone to see your whining. Second, you may want to do a bit more homework or even ask before posting about selling something on a list. Unless it specifically says it's for classified adds...you may want to check first ;) Third, stop trolling. I guess you like hearing yourself whine, cry, and act like a dumb ass. All you're doing is spamming our in boxes when you have an issue with Theo because you can't take it...get over it or get out. Most people that are on these lists and deal with OpenBSD know what to expect...so go cry somewhere else. J. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleSo where does it say here: http://openbsd.org/mail.html
That items for sale is not allowed? And I did not post anything after you sent this, now did I? I posted everything at the same time, within minutes of each. You asked me and I did not repeat. It must be the effect of the long delay between sending an email to any of the OpenBSD mailing lists, and the final arrival. Not knowing this, I had similar problems several months ago. I was pretty sure that all my mails have been directed into some "black hole" - but after several hours passed, they all started to appear; one by one... -- pozdrawiam / regards Zbigniew Baniewski |

Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleAgain Allie, I ask:
So where does it say here: http://openbsd.org/mail.html That items for sale is not allowed? I am not trolling, I am sticking up for myself in what was a child like display by almighty Theo. He may be passionate, but the line is drawn when he sends one line e- mails saying Fuck Off to someone he has never met nor communicated with before. If he had done it to you, you might be "whining". Yes, I have issue with Theo, but dont tell me to take it with him, when others are replying, I deserve the right to defend myself. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleTodd, common sense comes into play here.
Even though mail.html doesn't speak of posting pictures of antique spark plugs, you shouldn't. Common sense. Especially when selling is allowed. --STeve Andre' On Monday 29 September 2008 19:36:02 J. Re: Sun Blade 1000 for saleWhile I agree that this information is not on topic for this mailing
list I do think your messages have a place. They are on the sparc topic. Maybe a list for hardware should be created? People always require hardware for testing. I'm sometimes hunting for bits and bobs not on ebay. I even have a few sun T3 fiber channel raids stuffed with 73Gb disks I don't know what to do with. Maybe if a hardware- announce or hardware-sale list was created it would help reduce unwanted traffic and help developers. Or even better a page on the openbsd site for selling unix kit off. That way we don't all have to turn to fleabay. Just a constructive idea khalid On 29 Sep 2008, at 22:21, J.
