Suggested improvements to MochiKit.VisualI just ran across http://berniecode.com/writing/animator.html, which seems to provide quite nice visual effects (similar to MochiKit.Visual). Think there are a few transitions there that might be useful for MochiKit.Visual too. And some nifty CSS class morphing. Also, the actual examples are very nice for showing composite effects in a way that should also be possible with MochiKit.Visual. Anyway, if someone uses the MochiKit.Visual package, it might be interesting to port some of the stuff over to enhance our offering. Also, the visual effects demo page could include one or two examples from the page above. Cheers, /Per --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MochiKit" group. Re: Suggested improvements to MochiKit.VisualThat Animation library looks pretty cool to me. I don't use Visual much myself, largely because my experiences with it have been negative (I had serious performance problems and strange glitches the last time I tried using it). However, if it was as slick as the Animation library appears to be (I've only toyed with a few examples in a single browser so far), I could totally see myself going back to it. Re: Suggested improvements to MochiKit.VisualYes, it seems the author wasn't satisfied with Scriptaculous (which parts of MochiKit.Visual was ported from) so he wrote his own... Regarding your experiences with MochiKit.Visual, I also ran into issues initially. But I've since updated the docs to make it a bit easier next time around. Guess there are still rough edges left though... :-( Perhaps one or two these designs could be ported to MochiKit.Visual? At its base, they seem based around the same idea of a controlled value transition from 0 to 1 (mapped onto whatever property that is being modified). /Per On Thu, May 22, 2008 at 8:50 PM, machineghost <machineghost@...> wrote: > > That Animation library looks pretty cool to me.
