I am looking for some community support to help me with my senior project that I will be working on next year.
I am a junior Electrical Engineering student here at Northern Arizona University working on finishing my degree. I currently work at Electric Blue Motors here in Flagstaff working on circuits and other what-not for these electric cars. You can view the cars that I have worked on here on our website www.electricbluemotors.com. I have developed a battery monitoring system that monitor battery State of Charge, voltage, current, and the motor speed. All this data is presented graphically on a video monitor with RCA inputs. We are working on moving the prototype to a PCB and into production. I have also worked on making various transmission mounting plates for our cars that I have drafted into AutoCAD and made through our local CNC machinist.
With all this work going into these EVs I have been inspired to convert a Land Rover as part of my senior design project next year. Electric Blue Motors will sponsor me with some funding to produce a motor speed controller. I will however need to have a testing car to troubleshoot future circuit on.
I am trying to find parts to complete my Land Rover to help me have a full time testing car. Having such a vehicle will allow me to work on such components for EVs to help develop cheaper parts for the EV community. I plan on producing other components such as a high efficient battery charger, DC-DC converter, and other components at a low cost after completion of this project
I am looking for community support to help me complete this project. I am highly enthusiastic to push forward for cheaper components for electric vehicles to allow for the expansion of such a quickly growing market.
I am hoping that someone here can help me with some parts. In particular, a DC motor. Warp/Advanced DC 9" or bigger. If you have any contacts or information to pass on to me, I would greatly appreciate it! I am also looking for other misc. components so if you have any that you would be willing to part with please let me know. Thanks again! www.electricbluemotors.com
