Sending a Pdf & goning to another page

Hi,

normaly I send a page with halfway the result. There I have also a  
button for loading a PDF.

Now a customer wants a checkbox for instantly loading the PDF when the  
entered data are correct.
Now how to send the PDF and directly after send the page? I think the  
problem is there is only one request, so also one answer.

Is there a normal way to do this or maybe a trick?

You are right it then you can't send both a PDF and a confirmation  
page at the same time - but  you certainly can send a PDF instead of a  
confirmation page if the checkbox is checked and there are no errors.

You should also be able to do some AJAX javascript stuff.  Submit the  
form with AJAX and if ok, send the PDF request. Not sure what they  
buys you though.

Hi Norbert,

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but ...

When you are creating the confirmation page, do a check to see if the
checkbox was submitted. If so, append a hidden <iframe> somewhere in the
page that has its URL set to the PDF's path. That way, when the
confirmation page is loaded, the <iframe> will load the PDF.
