Scalaria Air Challenge 2008

Well, not everything went as it should...
I visited the Air Challenge which took place at the Wolfgangsee with a
good friend. With a rented boad we tried to come nearer to the airplanes
but we were guided back to the rental because a veritable storm
approached. So i wasn't able to catch the view i intended...
But i was not the only one with bad luck. The storm knocked over a
microlight which had to be recovered by the life guard and firefighters...

The IMHO most interesting planes were the Do 24 ATT (the big
hydroplane), a restored and modernized WWII patrol and rescue plane and
the last one still ready to fly, as well as the S-Ray 007 prototype,
developed by Iren Dornier and built based on insights through the
restoration of the Do 24. You can see on the photos how easy the small
plane can wiggle through the water like a motorboat...
