SVN Import Permission?

[Goodyear, Duran]

So I ...

run ... [root@portaldev svnrepos]# svn import -m "new cas3" cas https://www.ja-sig.org/svn/cas3/

from

/opt/svnrepos  on my system...  and it asks me for a root password...

can we not do a import?

I'm new to SVN, can I just do a checkout, then import from the file  
system?

You can only do stuff to our SVN that requires anonymous read access.  Anything else will fail.

So checkout to our SVN should work because its a read-only operation.  I'm not sure of the result of doing an import to our SVN.

Yeah...  I didn't realize import would try to upload the stuff to the jasig host ;)   my bad
