SVN???

Dear list,
 
In some of the previous messages i saw the term SVN in combination with SC3.
 
I know that to update quarks, I can use SVN.
 
Am I wrong to conclude that I can also update SC3 using SVN? Or should I continually watch sourceforge and download zipfiles with installers?
 
If so, how do I do that?
 
BTW, I'm on Windows Vista, I run the latest snapshot (14-03-08) of PsyCollider and TortoiseSVN...

You can get SC source code from svn on any platform, but to use it, you have to build the executable (compile). I hear compiling SC in Windows is... a FUN experience to say the least.

If you check out from sourceforge, there's a file ./windows/readme.txt with (some) compilation instructions. Looks scary to me, but if you like a challenge, go for it!
