I have to make a couple of crimps on Anderson SB-50 lugs.  I saw a
Powerwerx tool for $220 at
http://www.powerwerx.com/product.asp?ProdID=35851&CtgID=3575.  The
Anderson site mentioned either crimping or soldering.

What all have you found and used?

I haven't used it yet, but the big ratcheting crimper sold by Ryan at
EV Source is supposed to be able to crimp them, as well as a bunch of
other sizes of cable up to 4/0.  It has a clever set of rotating dies
built into the tool.

Ryan has a "tool rental" policy, which means you pay him full price for
the tool, then send it back whenever you want for a full refund.  Or
just keep it, he doesn't care :)

I've been eyeballing your crimper for some time.  The only apparent problem is
the several thousand miles between here and there.  I'm REALLY leery of
Chicom-made tools but if you say it's OK then I'll give it the benefit of the
doubt.

What would that tool cost in US dollars shipped to my place?  I shipped
magazines TO Australia back in the day and that gave me nose bleed from the
shipping costs but I have no idea what the reverse situation is.

I used some vise-grips.  Used the cutter edge and put some perpendicular
'pinches' on the connector.
I normally use my hammer crimper.
