ResourceConfig instance does not contain any root, resource classes

This is an issue seen on NB 6.1.  I have been seeing random issues in
the server log after deploying from Netbeans. My environment is Netbeans
6.1 and Glassfish v2ur2.  One of these issues contains the following in
the stacktrace,
"ResourceConfig instance does not contain any root
resource classes"

A search on google found this thread. I searched my web.xml, and sure
enough, Netbeans added a servlet to the deployment descriptor.

Is there a way to keep Netbeans from doing this?

What version of RESTful web services plugin do you have[1]? Did you
install any update from the update center[2]? Can you try it with the
latest version you can get from UC, please?

[1]: Tools->Plugins->Installed and search for REST...
[2]: this should be fixed if you have the latest version of the plugin

I have version  0.6.2 of the Restful Web services. I would install the
patch, but I have been very unhappy with the patches. Everytime I've
tried to install them, I get the message about the jsp version (0530....
) and then afterwards it seems like NB gets very buggy and I end up
reinstalling a fresh copy of Netbeans. It takes hours out of my work
schedule that I can no longer afford.

I believe the issue I see with the patches has to do with the facelets
plugin issue. You cannot install the facelets plugin after these patches
are run. If you run the facelets plugin first, then you can't install
all of the updates. I have a requirement for facelets.

If there were some way to install the plugins successfully without
compromising my installation of NB, then I will be happy to try. With
the current situation, I have to wait until next week to try updates. If
my product release is completed (mine), then I have some wiggle room to
mess with NB.

Thanks for your speedy reply Lukas ...
