I have the same status of you. I'm working with a chatter bot for FAQs which is not based in AIML. It works with sets of keywords and substitutions. It already has 230 subjects in its memory. Many days later, hi. I'm not sure I really understand... if any number of possible responses can be between the <template> tags, how is the number of <template>s directly related to how many responses the bot can give? (Bear in mind that I'm still an AIML-virgin, and it took me those days I wasn't responding just figuring out how to respond to a mailing list, so I'm likely to be a little slow here.)
