Res: pgfkeys 'circle through' errorIt seems the manual was designed to be read up-down, at least inside a given section, so the library requirements are given only once in the beginning instead of being repeated for every snippet inside that section.
However, when I started learning TikZ I almost had to write to the list asking for help but after some effort (after finding Kjell's examples) I realized that I had to add a library. So it seems many newcomers are put down by this style decision in the manual. I don't see an ideal solution on the manual, maybe TikZ could be made smarter to warn the user when he/she uses a command or option that requires a certain library? However, this is something I also noticed a couple of times that the \usetikzlibrary{...} parts are missing for most of the snippets in the manual - although it's saving some space I guess those necessary should be included for clarity. Re: Res: pgfkeys 'circle through' errorI do see the point in not mentioning the libraries over and over again,
but often one just searches for a keyword in order to get something quickly running, rather than having to browse back and forth. Maybe at least something like a tiny warning sign on the side of the examples indicating that this code doesn't just run "out of the box" would be helpful and doesn't overload the examples.
