Just to let you know, a kind person over on the OO Base forum helped me
out.
It turns out that in amongst my 9000 plus records is one in the Event1
table which has
zero in a key field - (referencing the Event Description table.) This
causes a referential integrity
problem when trying to hook the two tables up (none of the Event
Description records have the zero value
in that particular field). The problem is not immediately obvious to me
from the
error message, but fixing that field, fixed the problem.
It was also pointed out to me that:
* the parent ID fields should really be Autoincrement.
* the column headings should be one word only
* and I should have zipped the file when I uploaded it.
