Reconfigure network cards

I had the dual port Compaq 3134 network card fail and I replaced it with the board with a epia + a rt8139.  I cant find an obvious way to reconfigure all the network as they now bind as eth2/3.  Any ideas without a reinstall?

Also, any ideas why my oot hands just after uncompressing kernel, done.. for about 2 minutes and how to fix it?
