Receiving mail from YahooI am continuing to have a problem accessing my mail from one of my Yahoo
accounts. This is the error message: * Connecting to POP3 server: pop.mail.yahoo.com... *** SSL handshake failed *** Connection failed. I can send mail fine, I just cannot receive it. I have the configuration set up exactly how it is described by Yahoo. I also have a GMail account with a similar configuration and that works fine. Anyone have any ideas as to how to proceed with this problem? -- Gerard gerard@... If there is a wrong way to do something, then someone will do it. Edward A. Murphy Jr. |

A complete network connection log would be useful I suspect, and a bit more detail. I just switched to Port 110 without SSL/TLS and it works. I will have to work on this when I have more spare time. -- Gerard gerard@... The mate for beauty should be a man and not a money chest. Even the Yahoo tech could not figure out why it was failing. It works fine if I use another MUA, such as MS Outlook. I tied enabling all of the logging features in CM, yet I could not get any useful info on why SSL on port 995 was not working. Does anyone have any idea how I can get some real useful information regarding that? -- Gerard gerard@... Out of sight is out of mind. Arthur Clough |
