Your scenario is certainly one of the simplest that one can imagine for an ESB.
This can be accomplished using one BC (or two if different protocols are needed). If the message needs to be altered in some fashion, or some kind of routing logic is needed to determine which external service provider to use, you will need to use an SE as well.
