Well, you could extend current Wait Screen component to support gifs.
Sources are available in project Netbeans MIDP Componsnts
(vmd.components.midp) , inside of this project look at
netbeans_midp_components_basic (folder/project). Just FYI Wait Screen is
based on the SplashScreen component so if you implement it in the Splash
Screen you'll have this functionality in both WaitsScreen and
SplashScreen. If you need help let me know.
