Simon wants to hide or disable the fields, but the tab order is preserved in
either case. [Not sure if it is a web application..] Saving preferences
would be ideal based on usage patterns. I'm assuming the user knows what he
wants to do at the beginning.
You can also assign keyboard shortcut for the same. [Alt+{accceskey}] - CSS
