My guess is you should compile Nyquist from the sources using the
included Makefile or a slight variation. I branched off from PortAudio a
long time ago, so making Nyquist work with the latest PortAudio will
take some work. I actually got some help on that already, and I'm in the
middle of incorporating libsndfile and PortAudio, replacing what is in
Nyquist right now. If you're having trouble compiling using the (old,
modified) PortAudio code in Nyquist, let me know. There could also be
some incompatibilities with newer versions of ALSA, but none that I know of.
