FYI,

Another way to have OS access from a Flex app (Air or Not) is to use the
Java JDIC Libraries which will work for Windows, Linux and to some degree on
a Mac. Here are some useful links:

http://javadesktop.org/articles/jdic/ -> Overview
https://jdic.dev.java.net/ -> See latest releases
http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2SE/Desktop/javase6/desktop
_api/ -> We used this one to launch appropriate application associated with
a file (i.e. .jpg, .xls, etc). This one we tested on a PC, but not fully
implemented on a Mac.

Hope this helps.

Tom D.

Chad,

FluorineFx by default disables access to all classes that are not public and
marked with the [RemotingService] attribute.

Is there a way I can set up my web application to disallow all access to
services or objects, except for those I specify?

For example, I have a large API with many assemblies that will be on the web
site, and adding Fluorine to the mix seems to expose the possibility of
public access to my entire API.

I don't think I can use the Fluorine authorization or authentication scheme
for this task, since it would be too easy to spoof. Likewise, the web.config
classMappings and services elements don't seem like they'd do the job.

I'm new to Fluorine and my work is primarily on the .Net side of things, so
I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious here. Fluorine works great,
but I can't use it if there's the slightest possibility my API could be
hacked.

Chad

Yes, very interesting!

Is it possible to take a look at the source code?

Thanks!

This is awesome....

"FluorineFx Bridge Library" I see some AMF functions inside the dlls.

Not you got me excited!!!!!  it looks to me that you are cooking some pretty
good desert for us. Are you planing to create the Bridge to .net?

By the way, I have not seen any updates on your flex PROJECTOR.
It would be SO NEAT if this new FlouringFX Bridge could be used for a "new"
projector and and AIR.

Very good job.
