The way I had understood the discussion, was that the two plugins
would be for these use cases:
1. Connect curves based on selected points
2. Connect curves based on the distance between their endpoints
One NURBS mesh will usually have multiple curves, so both of these
plugins can simply be applied to a single mesh. I'll try to upload
some more complex NURBS geometry later today, so you can do some
testing easily.
