Michael-

Thanks for the confirmation on the camera interface. The frame rate does not need to be really fast. I'm expecting the image processing/analysis will be the limiting factor in the refresh rate of my sensor.

I have been looking around, but I can't seem to find any information on using a webcam with the new OpenEmbedded system that comes installed on the gumstix. Will I need to remove the OE system to use the directions for a USB webcam that are on docwiki.gumstix.org? If I stick with OE, what packages will I need to bitbake in order to install the required drivers for a simple webcam (logitech)?

Thanks.

hello,

you will only have a slow USB connection to your camera (USB 1.1).
it works, but only with a few fps or very limited resolution.

greetings,
michael
