I am currently building an Android. A physical Android. I am studying speech to speech recognition, similar to AT&T speech synthesis...operating the robot by voice is exactly what I am thinking about...its just a matter of bouncing that text back to speech and automatically triggering the text.Or is it much more?

Maybe you missed my last email, I HAVE.
It uses MS Speech software, programD, XML, and LISP. It can operate a

Congratulations, Thomas! Could you provide a little more detail? Is this a personal or professional project? What are you doing with it, or using it for? Do you have voice input and output? Is it accessible remotely yet, for instance over the net? I've also done this locally using the desktop Verbot (not
rocket science to get it to understand rudimentary MS Speech commands), but have yet to breach the network barrier....
