It looks like I'm going to get Blue Dog in June and sail her from
Edenton to Philadelphia. Stan tells me that someone else did that
before and of course, I'd love to chat with him. Anybody know who it
was?
Also, any ideas about a trip like this, or even a reference would be
appreciated.

Lynn,

Do you plan to come up the Chesapeake and then through the canal to the
Delaware river?  If so, join the Chesapeake bay group at Sailnet and ask
your question there.  I know that there are a lot of issues with this, but I
don't remember what they are.

Jim Harrison and Don Clarke did the length of the Chesapeake from
Norfolk to Turkey Point just South of the C&D Canal in less than a week.

Folks on the Sailnet email list (and the Sailnet bulletin board for
the Chesapeake - different group some overlap in membership) ought to
have info about timing the C&D. You might also ask about what's
available for harbors turning north out of the C&D. I suspect current
and the availability of fuel may be a major consideration.
