James,
I just upgraded from Lingo 1.1 to 1.3 and started seeing the very same errors in my application test suite. On first glance, the MultiplexingRequestor changes in Lingo 1.3 seems to have broken stuff. I also see a few open issues and messages related to MultiplexingRequestor issues with Lingo 1.2 and above. I also came across this thread  : http://www.nabble.com/Having-problem-with-EventListener-remoting-(w-Lingo)-t2564805.html which discusses the same problem with Lingo 1.2+

For now I'm going to revert to Lingo 1.1 in my application and try to further investigate whats causing stuff to break with Lingo 1.3.

Are you sure you're using temporary queues for the client side? It
sounds like you're receiving an old response from a different client.
