Well let's go on even with the help of an Spanish. I am a mixed system
guy. While I use a Canon EOS 5D -with 16-35, 24-70 and 100-400-  i was
formerly a Nikon guy and I have found a Nikon 200 very interesting and
therefore I bought one. I liked very much this camera but then Nikon
launched the D3 and the ability of capturing scarce photons was
absolutely interesting for me. I love this camera.

Have a look at

http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=842784

http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=841877

these portfolios were made with a Nikon D3 and 14-24mm f2.8, 28-70mm
f2.8 and 80-200mm f2.8 -that I kept (last two) when I used a Nikon F5-.

But the D3 is a "dust gathering" and is huge and weighty so the
launching of the D700 -same image quality in the body of a D300- is a
marvel for me. I've already ordered one.

Excuse my English.

Regards

Felix

Very nice albums and shots.  I had a D1 when it first came out but carrying
it all around the world was a problem because of weight.  I now have the
D200 with MB-D200 and while it is heavy, it seems not as heavy as the D1
was.  I think I might one day get a full frame but not for awhile.

To Those Who Are Left:
I agree with Mel.  My D200 is holding up nicely indeed.  And it's getting to be like a wonderful not so old shoe or slipper.
For my needs it satisfies me in my confort zone very well, thank you, for the present.
Tom
