What X11 image are you using? They've changed a bit in recent images I tried
- about a month back or so. The first time it boots you should see the touch
screen calibration crosshairs that you need to tap. Then it will open a "New
User" account window into which you setup the information for new non root
account. You need a USB keyboard plugged it for that. Then you'll should
see the X11 window manager as before.
The xterm didn't work in older versions but now it does works as you'd
expect - again taking input from the USB keyboard. Using ipkg you can
install a bunch of games, navit and an internet browser fairly easily. Some
of these are already available using ipkg update, others you can bitbake on
your build machine and move the ipk over with a cf/sd.
