I want to set reasonable expectations on the work I'm doing - at some
point in the next few weeks, you will be able to create a tool as a
plugin, instead of hard-coding it into the user-interface layer. That's
going to lower the barriers to writing tools, so it is a Good Thing, but
there's going to be lots of real work creating a tool.
Joe's priorities notwithstanding, everyone should be focusing on
pipeline components first, tools and UI second. Get the design right
first, and the UI will follow ...
