Hello,

I hope this is not a duplicate for others. I am resending this because
I never saw it in my e-mail.

 From August 9:
Here is my recent experience with HIE "discontinued" issue. Yesterday I
went to a local pro retailer who carries HIE. I spoke to their buyer.
He says he has had mixed information. When he entered the product code
to reorder direct from Kodak, he got a message that said it was
unavailable and discontinued. But he was able to get about 100 rolls
from another source. He says that in the past, Kodak has changed
product codes and given that message, which is temporarily misleading.
But he cannot tell from anything he can find if that is the current
situation. (He has also experienced cases where manufacturers will only
provide a product on a limited basis to the big guys.) Since Kodak got
rid of local retail reps, he has not been able to get reliable info.
(There is a "national" rep but that person only has time for the big
retailers, not little local guys.)

So, I think the only way to get the right story is to find someone with
the clout to call direct whichever Kodak VP makes these decisions.
Anyone know the owner of B&H Photo?
