I would say no.  That engine is painted from the factory anyway - or at least portions of it are.  As long as you have the proper air flow over the cooling fins you should still see adequate heat dissipation.  Now if you're sitting at stop lights in 90-100 degree heat then yes it will probably overheat, but it would anyway.  I have the same year 750 by the way.
