CK12 FOUNDATION

TEXTBOOK WRITERS & REVIEWERS
CK-12, a privately funded non-profit organization (http://www.ck12.org)
launched in 2007, aims to use an open-source, collaborative, and web-based
compilation model to reduce the cost of textbook materials for the K-12
market.  In order to pioneer the generation and distribution of high quality
educational textbooks, we are seeking experienced teachers, curriculum
writers, and reviewers to develop and evaluate content for middle and high
school math.
WRITERS
CK-12 is seeking writers with expertise in:
High School: Calculus and Linear Algebra

Requirements
Experienced writers, teachers, and curriculum developers are encouraged to
apply.  Completion of 2-3 chapters a month.  Chapters should include concept
explanations that meet and exceed CA and national content standards.
Period: ASAP through May 2008.

REVIEWERS
CK12 is seeking subject matter/domain experts to review textbooks in:
Middle School: Math 7 and Math 8
High School: Geometry, Trigonometry, Math Analysis, Calculus, Statistics,
and Linear Algebra

QUALIFICATIONS
Writers
• BA/BS degree
• Teachers with 5+ years experience preferred
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or
educational publishing a plus

Reviewers
• Advance degree in area of expertise preferred
• Experience reviewing textbooks a plus
• Parents and homeschoolers with domain/subject matter expertise
• Experience in district/schools adoption committees a plus
• All candidates must be familiar with CA and national standards
