    | Subject: [Audacity-help] Audacity Recording Problem
    | I've just installed the Audacity (Version 1.2.6) and I'm pretty new to it.
    | I'm using Windows XP Home Edition on a laptop.
    | The problem I'm facing is that the scroll-down menu on the top-right-hand
    | corner only shows "Line In" and "Microphone" but I couldn't find " Wave
    | Outmix", therefore I can't record anything.

Please follow the instructions on the FAQ:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=recording&i=streaming

which say:

"On Windows, if you don't have a “Wave Out” or “Stereo Mix” option,
or if it won't record, go to the system Control Panel and try to enable
this option there. For instructions see: Using the Control Panel on the Wiki"

In other words, please see this link:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel

Help is right there: "HELP ON RECORDING COMPUTER PLAYBACK OR
STREAMING AUDIO".
