First of all you need to associate the file with the page.  Do this by
clicking on the Media Library control and selecting the file from your
library or uploading a new one.

Now you can insert this into the body of your content by selecting the
FarCry icon in the rich text editor toolbar (looks like a little
radar).  Select the Files tab, preview and insert your file.

There are several different ways file associations can be configured
for your solution, but that is the default out of the box set of
steps.
