Well, it does depend on the creature too... Take Heptadd and, for the most part, multi-elemental attack, in such case, you do get an advantage. Moreover, since the attacker choose at random between 10 locations, you don`t really know who will get the initiative: Maybe the defender will. Addind to that if you use Mipedians: Since there is no BattleGear nor Mugic, according to the Topic Creator`s rules, Mipedians can use Invisibility without being detected, except by other Mipedians... In other words, many possible strategies, even with only 1-on-1 without BattleGear and Mugic. Everything is still possible!

As for a strategy about 1-on-1, I have mine. Actually, it`s a mix of what Tom and Klay did in there 6-on-6 battle: Take this Mugic (don`t know the English Name, saw it in French only) that lets you choose the next location, followed by that item Klay used on Magmon, and there: You`re sure to have a nice advantage, even if you`re not the attacker... Thought you`re not sure to get Initiative that way... And you're using your only Mugic and Battlegear for that, while your enemy still have a Mugic and Battlegear he can use against you... Well, anyway, as I said: Everything's possible in that game! :D
